INITIAL CHAT
It all begins with a simple conversation.
Send us an email with all the information you’ve at this stage. We then get to know each other, your tastes and preference that will help us put together a proposal with the menu, drinks & service you’ve in mind.
TASTING
Once you’re happy with our proposal, we can come at your place to do a tasting.
Tastings are the perfect excuse to not only make sure that the wines match perfectly to the menu, but to provide feedback & comments on food. Our menu is normally structured as following: antipasti served in sharing style, first course followed by second course and dessert.

We believe that being a wedding caterer isn’t just about serving delicious food for your wedding breakfast, this is why we provide a complete service designed to support & inspire you throughout the process.
I'd love to get an initial catering proposal! What sort of information you'd need?
Number of guests, where the ceremony will take place, would you like canapés served during the drinks reception? Would you prefer a 3 or 4 course meal or a sharing style buffet? Does the venue has a fully-equipped kitchen? This one is important as it will have an impact on quote. Drinks - you'd like us to source wines / Prosecco, soft drinks?
What do we discuss during the private consultation and what happens next?
Cristina will speak through your wedding day ideas, timings and what you’d like want from the day as a whole. Before we make any recommendations and discuss your catering needs, we do want to get an understanding of how you envision your day as well as to visit the venue and the kitchen.
Can you tailor the menu? And, can you accommodate special dietary requirements?
Yes, absolutely! As you might by know, we specialize in Italian food but that does not mean we’re not able to adapt to your tastes! Also, we are totally happy to use unique ingredients that you are in love with from a specific region of Italy (ie. Burrata from Naples or Gambero Rosso from Sicily), create a special dish for you as well as to devise menus for two course meals, family-stile services, canapés receptions only and so on. It’s your choice and we want your day to be unique for you and all your guests. We can cater for all requirements. It’s your day - not ours :)
Are you an approved caterers at our chosen venue? If not is there a way around this?
We do work at any venue even in the case that we are not on their ‘approved’ list. How? By providing the venue with all the necessary docs, like insurances, risk assessments as well as recommendations from other venues to give them all the information they need. We will always plan a site visit with our event manager and head chef in order to make all the risk assessments prior to the event as well as get familiar with the space.
What's your starting price per person?
In terms of food prices, you may want to consider a starting price of £54 p.p for a three-course meal + 4 welcome canapés. As a boutique caterer, we do not currently charge VAT, making us very competitively priced for the high-quality ingredients and professional service we supply.
What about set up and clearing down?
We always coordinate with the venue the whole set up and table lay out the day before and we clear everything away that same night of the wedding.
How experienced is your staff?
Waiters, waitresses & barmen are all regulars at Hostaria and are trained to deliver the best wedding experience. In terms of outfit, they wear matching black trousers, black shirts and smart aprons. In the initial meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to speak with our event manager, and we are happy to provide a breakdown of their experience.
We’d like to to book with you, but we’d also like to try the food first! Is that possible?
Absolutely, we understand that food plays a huge part of your wedding and we’d be delighted to organize a tasting with you! There is a small charge of £50 p.p, which we refund if you then decide to go ahead with the booking. Feel free to bring your friends or parents to try our food too!
What can be included in your wedding package?
Apart from food, obviously, which we deliver in refrigerated transport, locally-sourced (or from Italy if you choose Italian ingredients) and freshly-prepared on-site, we can assist with planning and management, tableware, all crockery, cutlery and glassware, white luxury table linen, full waitress service, all kitchen equipment as well as all washing-up and clearing away after the event, and disposal of all rubbish including empty bottles.
We’re convinced! What happens next?
That’s fantastic! When you decide to book your wedding with us we ask for a deposit of 20% of the initial quote to confirm the booking. Then, 50% of the balance must be paid 45 days prior to the date and the last 50% within 15 days prior the wedding. We’ve found that this structure gives us the flexibility to adapt in case of last minute changes to the number of guests, equipment, etc. We accept payments by bank transfer only.
